Understanding
Many of the soldiers and colonists had a hard time getting and supplying food during the American Revolutionary War. There were so many soldiers that had to go without food for a long amount of time, but dealt with it because they knew that it would result in their freedom and liberty and depended on their lives. When they did get food, they had very little and almost none to satisfy their hunger. The colonists drank beer at almost any age because it was so easy to get a hold of. It was also very cheap. And with almost every meal, they had some type of bread, including biscuits.
